Monterrey vs America 2-1
Monterrey is rising and looks serious facing the final stages to qualify for playoffs. This past Saturday November, 7 2015 Rayados defeated Club América, on Week 16 of the 2015 Apertura match at home stadium BBVA Bancomer Stadium.
The first time was hard, claw and dynamism on the part of both teams, both Rayados and America jumped onto the field thinking of doing damage to the arch's rival. It was only in minute 7 that Darwin Quintero opened the score with the first goal of the night. Rayados didn't cave into panic at being down so early in the game. The game kept being intense but Monterrey just couldn't put one into the net.
In the second half Monterrey did two changes. To complement, the local strategist ushered Pablo Barrera and Jesus Zavala, instead of Edgar Castillo and Luis Perez. Both elements served to Monterrey realized that the party was not losing on goals, but in the middle of the green rectangle. The reward was not long in coming: after a foul embedded in the crossbar to send Edwin Cardona, Rogelio Funes Mori took the opportunity to head off to a solitary goal at the mercy of Americas goalie not covering it and that leveling the score. 'Las Aguilas' were eroded, partly because of his lack of tact and management of game and in part to that on minute 66 with a superb center from Dorlan Pabon, Edwin Cardona simply pushed against to somersault goal to give the meeting and, thus keeping alive the aspirations of Monterrey to advance to the playoffs.
